How to Pray Jumuah (Hanafi)
Jumuah (Friday prayer) replaces Zohr. It consists of 4+2 Sunnah, 2 Farz (after Khutbah), 4+2 Sunnah, and 2 Nafl.
Jumuah is a weekly communal obligation for adult Muslim men. Allah says: "O you who believe, when the call to prayer is made on Friday, hasten to the remembrance of Allah." (62:9). The 2 Farz are prayed after the Imam delivers the Khutbah (sermon). The prayer cannot be performed alone — congregation is a condition.
Niyyah (Intention)
Make the intention in your heart. It is not necessary to say it aloud.
I intend to pray 4 Sunnah rakats before Jumuah, for the sake of Allah, facing the Qiblah.
Takbeer-e-Tahreema
Raise both hands up to your earlobes, palms facing the Qiblah, then place right hand over left hand below the navel.
